asian food hall BANG BANG ORIENTAL to launch in london this summer

The highly anticipated Stiff + Trevillion designed Bang Bang Oriental will open in summer 2017 in North London. The eco-friendly venue will bring a pan-Asian culinary experience and cultural entertainment concept to the capital. Bang Bang Oriental will encompass a food court, restaurant, shopping experience and community space – all under one roof.

North London’s hottest new destination will celebrate Asia’s vibrant culture with 33 individual kiosks offering a stunning array of dishes – with everything from udon to wonton – Bang Bang Oriental will allow diners to savour a cacophony of tasty and affordable food choices from more than 20 uniquely styled eateries. This sophisticated and affordable food court, seating up to 450 guests, will bring the energy and authentic vibe of an Asian Street Food Market to the capital.

The exciting new hub will also be home to the stylish Golden Dragon flagship restaurant. The 300 cover restaurant will offer dim sum lunches with an extensive traditional Chinese menu in the evening. The Chinese supermarket Long Fong will also form an integral feature of the ground floor, while upstairs the Bang Bang Oriental Food Hall will offer restaurant units and retail outlets, as well as a space to host cultural events.

There will be four separate retail units on the mezzanine floor beside the community space, including Chinese massage and herbal medicine, and nail and beauty boutiques. There will also be indoor and outdoor spaces for community events, cookery classes, and cultural activities such as Lion dancing. The community spaces will be available for residents to hire for free for up to 60 hours a week. There will also be a children’s play area.

‘Bang Bang Oriental Food Hall’ translates as ‘Good Good Oriental Food Hall’ in Mandarin. The venue will be open all day from 11am until 10pm.

Bang Bang Oriental is a green initiative so sustainability is important to the site. The venue will feature state-of-the-art technology such as a bio-fuel cylinder (costing £85K) which will collect food waste for energy regeneration, thus reducing carbon emissions. Award-winning architects Stiff + Trevillion are undertaking the transformation of the building and landscaped outdoor area. The design will fuse minimalism and oriental culture to create an iconic building within the local landscape.

The new 27,000 square foot architecturally stunning space is set to attract visitors from all over the world making it the ultimate North London destination. Click here for more information.
